Celebrating Cuts

I am very aware it is very easy to be negative about current government cuts especially when an UK government which appears to be enjoying making them but the reality is as a society we have been living beyond our means for too long and we need to change things.

Like in our personal lives, we can collect a lot of rubbish and become inefficient in the way we do things, governments can be the some but they are not often motivated to do the spring clean needed to move forward.

So we need to change the language and motivation of so-called cuts to that of modernisation and moving forward not backwards. It may not make the decisions easier but maybe it will help people understand them better.

The welfare reforms being proposed is more than cuts and is an attempt to reverse the rights without responsibility culture that exists which I will discuss more on Monday.
