One of the things I find bemusing about this government is that they appear to be making decisions out of the decision that no sense and more importantly are not based on any evidence, or any evidence they wish to share with us.
I strongly believe that when it comes to spending taxpayers money, and indeed any money, that the decisions being made should be made on evidence. And by this, I mean real evidence, not the endless popularist bias ‘research’ flowing from the companies disguising themselves as charities to keep their income. The government should itself commission accurate in depth research on a variety of issues which can be used as a foundation for meaningful decisions.
I acknowledge that research is never perfect but it is better to have good evidence than no evidence.
