I hate being called vulnerable by charities and activists alike just because I am considered disabled and I will no longer tolerate this abuse of my identity. Everyone can be vulnerable at specific times for specific reasons, but to label a whole section of society simply for political and financial gain is an abuse which should no longer be accepted.
By considering disabled people vulnerable, people are demonstrating their inner believe that we are indeed inferior beings, who need to be looked after in the same way as children or pets. It shows a deep pity for us which compromises our humanity. Labelling us vulnerable should not be considered an act of charity but as an act of war of the full inclusion of disabled people. So you have be warned and please do not call me vulnerable, even if you may think is, because it is not a nice thing to say!
